Dagny Davidsdottir scored 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Wyoming Cowgirls to a sweep of Air Force with a 59-46 victory Monday night in Laramie.

Davidsdottir tied both of her career-highs in points and rebounds. She added a pair of blocked shots, as well. Jaye Johnson and Alba Sanchez Ramos scored 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Wyoming (6-5, 4-4) used a 17-5 run to start the second half to take control of the game. That turned a 24-23 halftime advantage into a 41-28 lead for the Cowgirls.

UW held Air Force to 26 percent shooting for the game. The Falcons made eight triples but also had 17 turnovers.

The Cowgirls shot 48 percent from the field. Wyoming enjoyed a 30-6 advantage on points in the paint and scored 11 fast-break points.

UW had a slow start and trailed 7-0. They responded with a 10-2 run for their first lead of the game, at 10-9. There were four more lead changes in the first half, and the game was tied three times. Two free throws from McKinley Bradshaw tied the game at 23-23. A free throw by Tommi Olson with five seconds left put Wyoming in front by one at the break.

The Cowgirls head back on the road to play Nevada in Reno on Friday and Sunday.
