The Wyoming Cowgirls had four players score in double figures and rolled past Air Force, 70-48, Monday night at the 2015 Mountain West Championships in Las Vegas.

Wyoming (16-13) posted their largest margin of victory ever at the MW Championships. It also marked UW's fourth straight opening-game win at the event.

Marquelle Dent scored 20 points to lead the Cowgirls. She added five rebounds and three assists.

Wyoming led from the start and built a 17-point halftime lead. Air Force trimmed it to 11, at 45-34, with 13 minutes left. Dent responded with a key four-point play that sparked the Cowgirls. She scored 13 of UW's last 25 points.

Head coach Joe Legerski said, "I thought Marquelle Dent's four-point play was as big a play as there was out there. She ended up getting that lead back up to 14 points; gave us a little more breathing room."

Kayla Woodward added 17 points and eight rebounds. Kaylie Rader scored 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds off the bench, while Kaitlyn Mileto chipped in 11 points.

Legerski said, "I thought Kaitlyn got us off to a great start shooting three's. Kayla was solid throughout the whole evening. And then I thought Marquelle's second half was tremendous."

Wyoming shot 46 percent from the field and had a 46-26 advantage in rebounds.

Air Force (2-28) was led by... The Falcons were held to 31 percent shooting from the floor.

The Cowgirls advance to the quarterfinals of the 2015 Mountain West Women's Basketball Championships. They will take on Fresno State tonight at 9:30, Mountain Time. Wyoming lost both meetings in the regular season to the Bulldogs.
