Cowgirls Battle Past Bobcats in Overtime, 75-69 [VIDEOS]
Three Cowgirls scored in double figures, and Wyoming regrouped after a horrid first half and beat Montana State, 75-69, in overtime Saturday in Laramie.
Natalie Baker and Liv Roberts combined to score 10 of the Cowgirls 15 points in the extra period. Baker converted a pair of free throws followed by a Marta Gomez 3-pointer. That gave UW a 65-61 lead. With a 3-point cushion, Riikka Kujala, Roberts and Baker knocked down 5-of-6 free throws in the final 32 seconds for the win.
Wyoming (6-3) won their third straight. Marquelle Dent led the way with 23 points, but she fouled out on the first possession in OT. Roberts finished with 17 points and 8 rebounds, while Baker added a double-double in her first career start. She had 10 points and 15 rebounds.
The Cowgirls shot only 35 percent from the field, but went 30-35, 86 percent, at the foul line. They out-rebounded the Bobcats, 49-45, but UW also finished with 17 turnovers.

Wyoming was ice cold in the first half. They went 5-of-27, 18.5 percent, from the floor. All five field goals were made by Dent, which included a running jump shot at the halftime buzzer. The Cowgirls trailed 25-18 at the break. The Cowgirls scored 42 points in the second half on 45 percent shooting. They battled back from an 11-point deficit and finally tied it at 57 on a Dent basket. Two free throws by Roberts with 24 seconds left forced overtime.
