Cheyenne Police Department Swears in Three New Officers
The Cheyenne Police Department welcomed three new officers to its ranks Monday morning.
Teralyn Alarid, Mariah Bolkovatz, and Daniel van Swearingen were sworn in during a brief ceremony at the Cheyenne Public Safety Center.
Alarid and Bolkovatz are both natives of Cheyenne. Van Swearingen relocated to Wyoming from Alaska, where he was a teacher for eight years.
"These officers are the future of our organization," said Chief Mark Francisco. "We are proud to welcome this next generation of leaders and appreciate their commitment to the police department and the community."
The three will now attend the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy in Douglas.
