A 26-year-old Cheyenne man busted for drugs has waived his right to a preliminary hearing.

Zadrian R. Gonzales and his co-defendant, 42-year-old Christopher Mitchell-Hayes, were arrested on April 20 after police following up on a suspicious vehicle call found numerous drug paraphernalia items in an apartment where the two were at.

Police say there were four loaded syringes -- two filled with liquid heroin and two with liquid methamphetamine -- on the kitchen table, as well as 0.2 grams of black tar heroin and 2.3 grams of crystal methamphetamine in the living room.

Both men were charged with felony possession of liquid methamphetamine and liquid heroin. Each charge carries a maximum penalty of up to seven years in prison.

Mitchell-Hayes -- who was bound over to Laramie County District Court on May 1 -- is also charged with misdemeanor possession of methamphetamine and tar heroin and interference with a peace officer-resist.

Gonzales' bond was lowered from $10,000 cash to $6,500 cash or surety on the two felonies. Mitchell-Hayes remains jailed on a $10,000 cash bond.
