Wyoming will celebrate 125 years of statehood on Friday.

The celebration begins at 3:00 p.m. with the early release of state employees.

<a href="http://governor.wyo.gov/" target="_blank">Governor Matt Mead</a> and other dignitaries will then speak from the capitol steps.

The days festivities will also include an exhibition at the <a href="http://wyomuseum.state.wy.us/" target="_blank">Wyoming State Museum</a>, tours of the <a href="http://wyoparks.state.wy.us/Site/SiteInfo.aspx?siteID=23" target="_blank">Historic Governor's Mansion</a> and musical performances by the <a href="http://www.music.army.mil/organizations/pages/?unit=67AB" target="_blank">67th Army Band</a>, <a href="http://www.jalancrossland.com/" target="_blank">Jalan Crossland</a> and others.

Streets will be closed around the capitol to help with safety and access for pedestrian traffic.
