Easton Corbin is playing at the University of Wyoming on Saturday and much like everyone in Laramie, he’s pumped for it! I got to talk to Easton about the upcoming concert, his second album and what he likes to do in Wyoming.

Ivinson Memorial Hospital has broken ground on a $36.5 million construction project. The two-year expansion will upgrade patient rooms, renovate operating rooms, build a new dialysis center and add a 30-room patient tower to the Laramie hospital.

About 220 acres of pasture were burned by a grass fire 17 miles west of Laramie off of WYO 130. Laramie Fire Department Company Commander Billy Shutte tells media that lightning started the fire and rain helped contain it.

Kari Eakins, Townsquare Media One man is dead following the crash of a charter plane on Friday afternoon at Laramie Regional Airport according to airport manager Jack Skinner. No details have been released about the man, although Skinner did confirm that he was not from Laramie.

The alternative rock band will play in the Arts & Sciences Auditorium with Boys Like Girls and Parachute opening the show. Just over eleven years ago, eight University of Wyoming cross country student athletes were killed in a collision with a drunk driver. The annual “Always A Cowboy” 8k run and 5k walk will honor their memory on Saturday, September 22 in Laramie.

The University of Wyoming football team is off to an 0-3 start in 2012 after losing to Cal Poly 24-22 on Saturday in Laramie. It is UW’s first loss to a Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) team.

A vehicle fire on the Laramie Range summit between Laramie and Cheyenne closed the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 for about an hour on Friday afternoon. A pickup truck with a long camper trailer was lost in the fire according to Wyoming Department of Transportation spokesperson Ross Doman.
