Ask The City – When Trash Bins Blow Over Why Aren’t They Picked Up?

Your Question:

If one of the new residential garbage bins falls over, why wouldn't the driver upright it and empty the bin?

The City's Response:

It is the City’s policy that if a polycart is blown over, the polycart should be stood up and emptied by the driver. On really windy days, every effort is made to have employees out to stand them up.  However,  in some cases it is difficult to get to them all. On those very windy days, we ask that the home owner assist and stand up the polycart when possible.
