Alonzo Hall is the Fresh Prince of Wyoming. Born and raised in West Philadelphia, his life got flipped and turned upside in high school when his mother and grandmother died. He ended up 2,700 miles away in Los Angeles. This fall, the 6'5", 245-lb. linebacker will reunite in Laramie with his high school teammate and roommate Ja'lani Ellison.

Hall was a junior when he was taken in by Ja'lani's mom Lori Johnson. Alonzo and Ja'lani bonded on and off the field, where they anchored the defense for Reseda High School.

When Ellison chose Wyoming over Utah State, it made the decision easier for Hall. The three-star recruit, who recorded 15.5 sacks during his senior season, picked the Pokes over Arizona State and Fresno State.

Hall's Philly roots will come in handy when he gets to Laramie.

"I'm used to the cold," he told the Los Angeles Times.
