A Laramie Culinary Wish Comes True
It’s finally here. Some of you have waited almost 15 years for this moment. Kyle from 2009 Facebook, your wish has come true.
Chipotle. In Laramie.
The oldest documented record of wishful thinking was Kyle’s Facebook post from 2009.
In December 2014, the Laramie Mainstreet Alliance conducted a Downtown retail market analysis and consumer survey. One respondent asked for “More reasonable dining options…like Chipotle.”
They’re currently renovating the old Almanza’s building on 2615 E. Grand Ave, and they’re hiring. LinkedIn reposted Chipotle’s ask for service leaders (which has 0 applicants thus far, so if you’re looking, they’re hiring).
The Mexican grill founded in 1993 is included in many “Best Mexican Restaurants” lists, and the restaurant boasts of its commitment to “using only responsibly raised meat.” Chipotle is also committed to reducing landfill waste and greenhouse gas emissions.
The only other Chipotle Mexican Grill in Wyoming is in Cheyenne. That location is open from 10:45 a.m. to 9 p.m.; perhaps Laramie’s version will have extended hours thanks to our late-night dinner (or second dinner) patrons.
