The Wyoming Cowgirls will face six teams that played in the NCAA Tournament during their 2015 season, as the volleyball schedule was unveiled.

There are a total of 30 matches on the slate, which includes 18 at home. The Cowgirl volleyball team will host three tournaments and a special exhibition match.

In a release from the university, Cowgirl head coach Chad Callihan said,

"One of the things that the NCAA selection committee stated was that they want to see teams scheduling for the postseason and that is what we've tried to do with this schedule."

Wyoming opens the season at home August 28-29 with the inaugural Rumble in the Rockies. It features Ohio State, Butler and South Dakota. After a road tournament at Gonzaga, the Cowgirls return home for Pistol Pete's Showdown September 11-12. Kansas, Marquette and Northern Colorado will be in for that tournament. The last of the home tourneys is the Wyoming Invite September 17-18. UW will host Idaho State, McNeese State and Pepperdine.

Callihan added from the release, "Eight opponents finished in the top 100 of the RPI last season, so we will be tested early and often."

Before conference play begins, the Cowgirls will host Chinese professional team Shanghai September 20.

There are nine home and road Mountain West matches. League matches begin and end at home. UW hosts Boise State September 24 to begin MW action and will host Border War rival Colorado State November 24 to finish it.
