Dating can be expensive. A Buzzfeed article about the cost of a date mentioned that a Match.com survey found that the average single person spends up to $1,596 a year on dates. With the cost of eating at restaurants and movie tickets, it's no surprise that going on dates can be a pricey affair.

However, it's a bit cheaper for the average Wyomingite to date than most. 24/7 Wall Street put together a list about the average cost of a date in each state based on the cost of two dinners, a bottle of wine, and movie tickets. So, where does Wyoming rank on the list of date costs? Well, we're not the cheapest state (that honor goes to South Dakota with an average date cost of $38.27). With an average cost of $52.10, Wyoming ranks #46 on the list, among the 10 cheapest states. Interestingly, the cost of a date nearly doubles for our neighbors to the south, with the average Colorado date costing $109.12. Unsurprisingly, New York is the most expensive place for date night, with the average date costing $297.27.
