LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — A former Wyoming social service organization employee has pleaded not guilty to a felony theft charge.

Renea Wright, 47, is accused of stealing over $1000 from Interfaith Good Samaritan where she worked. Court documents say the organization suspected Wright of theft in May after the interim director discovered that donation money was missing from their safe.

According to documents, Interim Director Charles Ksir claimed Wright was the only person near the safe on a day when it was unlocked.

Wright could be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison and issued a $10,000 fine if found guilty.

Wright's jury trial is scheduled for Jan. 3-4.
