CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — Federal regulators say a worker at a Wyoming uranium mine falsified a required health survey for two other workers who were in a restricted area.

Cameco won't be cited for a violation. But an agreement reached Friday with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requires the company to take steps to prevent a similar incident from occurring.

The NRC says the falsification happened in 2013 and involved workers at Cameco's North Butte satellite facility in Campbell County.

The deal with the commission comes after Cameco was ordered to stop shipments of radioactive waste Aug. 31 following two spills within nine months.

Cameco spokesman Ken Vaughn says the company is still working to resolve the issue.
