According to a new study, Wyoming is the best state in the country for summer road trips.

Wallet Hub compared each state based on several factors, including cost, safety, and scenery. Wyoming ranked first overall, was the most affordable, and had the lowest price for public camping spots.

North Carolina took second place behind Wyoming. Minnesota, Texas, and Florida rounded out the top five. Several neighboring states also ranked among the top 20 states. Colorado was tenth, South Dakota placed 15th, and Nebraska finished 17th.

Rhode Island was ranked as the worst state for summer road trips, followed by Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, and New Mexico.
