University of Wyoming senior guard Chase Roullier has been named to the 2016 Outland Trophy Watch List by the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA).

The Outland Trophy honors the nation’s top interior lineman in college football.

Roullier, who wears jersey No. 73, will be a senior this season for the Cowboys. He received Second Team All-Mountain West honors as a junior in 2015. Roullier has started 28 games in his collegiate career, including 27 straight. He was an integral part in the success of running back Brian Hill’s record-setting 2015 season, where Hill established a new Cowboy single-season mark for rushing yards with 1,631.

Roullier is one of 70 players on the Preseason Outland Trophy Watch List. There are three other players from the Mountain West. They are Nevada offensive tackle Austin Corbett, San Diego State guard Nico Siragusa and Colorado State guard Fred Zerblis.

On Nov. 17, the list will be narrowed to the semifinalists, about six or seven players. November 22 is when the FWAA will choose the three finalists. The winner be revealed on Dec. 8 during The Home Depot College Football Awards show on ESPN.
