The University of Wyoming Cowboys added a future home-and-home football series with New Mexico State Monday.

The Pokes will head to Las Cruces to open the 2018 season on Aug. 25. The Aggies will make the return visit Sept. 21, 2024.

The first and only meeting between the two schools was back in 1953, and that was a 47-0 Wyoming win in Laramie.

The addition of that game completes the Cowboys non-conference schedule in 2018. After the UW opens against the Aggies, Wyoming will host Washington State on Sept. 1. That’s followed by a Sept. 8 road trip to Missouri. The final non-conference game is at home versus Wofford on Sept. 15.
