UPDATE: Wyoming authorities say a hunting guide has been found dead after he and a client were attacked by a bear.

The Jackson Hole News & Guide reports the body of 37-year-old Mark Uptain was found Saturday.

Teton County spokesman Billy Kirk said the client, Corey Chubon of Florida, suffered leg, chest and arm injuries and was flown to a Jackson hospital. The newspaper reported he left the hospital Saturday.

ORIGINAL STORY: According to news reports, a search is underway near Terrace Mountain in the Teton wilderness area for a hunting guide who was reportedly attacked by a bear.

According to the account in the Jackson Hole News & Guide, Martin Outfitters guide Mark Uptain was leading an elk hunter, Corey Chubon of Florida, in the area, when they were attacked by two bears.

Chubon, according to reports, managed to toss a pistol to Uptain and ran from the area.

No trace of Uptain of the gun have been found, and searchers are scouring the area.

Uptain is originally from Casper and owns another business in Jackson Hole.

Chubon was taken to a hospital and will recover.
