To say it will be a tough game, might be an understatement. The University of Wyoming Cowboys are on the road Saturday to face the #2 Oregon Ducks.

While both teams are 2-0 on the season, the Pokes are 43-point underdogs to the Ducks in the first road game of the season for UW.

Wyoming has relied on an improved defense that leads the Mountain West and ranks 20th nationally by giving up just 12.5 points per game. The Pokes also are in the top 42 in rush defense, pass defense efficiency and total defense. UW is surrendering only 315 yards per game.

Oregon will test that Cowboy "D." They are averaging 582 yards and 54 points per game.

After a pleasing win over Air Force, Wyoming head coach Craig Bohl knows it won't be easy against the Ducks. He says controlling the ball with our offense is a main key, and that the Cowboys will need to be assignment sound, plus use the right pursuit angles to "gang tackle" Oregon's talented offensive players.

Bohl also knows that his team can only control what they can control. He adds that belief is important when approaching this game.

This marks the first ever meeting on the gridiron between these two teams.

Kickoff is at noon on Saturday from Autzen Stadium in Eugene. You can listen to Wyoming Cowboys football coverage on KOWB (AM 1290) starting at 11 a.m. Saturday.
