Kaitlyn Mileto scored a season-high 26 points and was one of four Cowgirls in double figures, as Wyoming crushed Utah State 86-51 Wednesday night in Laramie.

Wyoming (8-10, 3-5) sank a season-high 13 3-pointers and shot 68 percent from deep. Mileto knocked down six treys, while Kayla Woodward added four.

Mileto said,

"We needed a win. I think it's been a long time coming. It's just a big sigh of relief... it's good to get our confidence back, and so I think we just have to take this and run with it."

Woodward scored 18 points and grabbed six rebounds. Marquelle Dent added 17 points and nine assists, while Jordan Kelley contributed 11 points and seven boards.

The Cowgirls shot 53 percent from the field and came up with 15 steals.

Utah State (6-14, 3-5) was led by Funda Nakkasoglu with 22 points. The Aggies shot only 37 percent in the game and committed 22 turnovers.

Wyoming utilized a 15-3 run midway through the first half to break open a tight game. With a 19-17 lead, Woodward hit three 3-pointers, while Dent, Mileto and Jordan Sibrel added two free throws apiece. It extended the lead to 34-20. The Cowgirls led 44-28 at half. They scored nine of the first 12 points in the second half. That extended their advantage to 55-31.

The Cowgirls are back in action Saturday at Nevada. The game will start at 5 p.m., Mountain time.
