Not much movement in the price of gas last week.

GasBuddy.com senior petroleum analyst Patrick Dehaan says the average price for a gallon of regular in the Cowboy State held at $3.39 for a second consecutive week.

“Prices across the state of Wyoming are found cheapest in Casper where prices are $3.21, and prices in Cody are $3.22,” DeHaan said.

DeHaan expects prices to rise gently in the weeks ahead. He says the slow spring climb should continue until the middle of May.

“Then prices should contract at some point in late May and early June,” DeHaan said. “It shouldn’t get much worse than $3.50 per gallon.”

Gas is selling for as low as $3.30 in Cheyenne and $3.33 in Laramie. DeHaan says the national average increased by just over a penny last week to $3.55.
