A winter weather advisory is in effect for Laramie and southeastern Wyoming. The National Weather Service in Cheyenne issued the advisory this morning at 8:48 am.

The advisory will remain in effect until 5 am Thursday.

Snow will begin around 12 pm today and continue through late this evening, according to the advisory. The snow should come to an end midnight tonight and pick back up Friday morning. It will continue into Friday night. Two to five inches are expected for tonight.

General Forecaster Richard Emanuel said that drivers in the region should be cautious.

“The roads will be a little slick in areas where there is snowfall,” Emanuel said.

A winter storm watch for parts of southeastern Wyoming will also take effect late Thursday night and remain through late Friday night.
