The new 2017 remake of the classic Stephen Novel novel "It" is out now in theaters. While the reviews have been mostly positive (I personally gave the new version a 8.5 out of 10), some movie purists are saying the original is better.

The original 1990 version was a made-for-television film, so while it was scary (and suspenseful) at the time, the special effects seem a little dated now. However, Tim Curry's performance as Pennywise the Dancing Clown was still terrifying, even if you don't suffer from coulrophobia (fear of clowns). The remake does seem a bit closer to the book, mostly due to the fact of its R rating.
