The NFL draft begins Thursday night.  While none of us expect a Wyoming Cowboy to be taken off the board until at least Friday, and more likely Saturday, it's fun to start projecting.

Three Pokes will have a good shot at making an NFL squad this year.

Wide Receiver Robert Herron in my opinion, will be the first of the three.  Impressive is an understated word for Herron during his Pro Day and NFL workouts.  He has real, legitimate NFL potential.

I think Marqueston Huff is a 5th or 6th round pick.  Huff is a tremendous athlete with big play potential and a great tackler.  He could be a valuable piece to any NFL team in need of secondary help.

Brett Smith may be the last of the three Cowboys taken and probably the most talked about.  Not only because he plays the most talked about position, but he left the University of Wyoming as a Junior.  It's rare for a player from Wyoming to get drafted period, but especially after leaving early.  Many NFL scouts think this move hurt Brett, but the consensus is he'll still be drafted.

Denver Broncos reporter Cecil Lammey wrote an article for Bleacher Report that projects the Broncos will take Brett in round 6.

Now we wanna know when you think Brett will be taken off the board!
