Western States Bank has unveiled its new sign following a merger deal made in January.

CEO Gary Crum said in January that "the merger represents a tremendous opportunity for the customers and communities we serve."

Formerly known as Wyoming State Bank, the bank opened in 2006 and opened three branches between Laramie and Cheyenne. They now join the Valley Bank and Trust held Western States Bank, which has 11 branches throughout Colorado and Nebraska and has been operating since 1988.

As for the transition, Laramie President and Commercial Loans officer Chad Witte mentioned that it has been a quick transition and elaborated, "It's going really well. There have been absolutely no problems. Even with the name change, Western States Bank will have Wyoming roots." Witte also said that the Laramie branch will serve as the corporate headquarters.
