Corb Lund & Jalan Crossland Performimg at the Cowboy in Laramie

The first weekend of the spring semester promises to bring some good country music to Laramie as the Cowboy Saloon & Dance Hall, located downtown on 2nd Street, welcomes Corb Lund and Jalan Crossland to the stage on Saturday night, January 14th. The music kicks off at 7PM and it should be a terrific night of entertainment and dancing! If you have been in Laramie for a while chance are you have heard of these bands as they perform somewhat regularly, but if not check out more about the artists and take a listen to their music below! 

About Corb Lund  

Corb Lund was born and raised in rural Southern Alberta. He has been singing about his country upbringing for more than a decade on critically acclaimed albums such as Five Dollar Bill (2002) and Hair In My Eyes Like A Highland Steer (2005). Lund is the current Canadian Country Music Association’s Roots Artist of the Year for the fifth consecutive year and has won countless Western Canadian Music Awards, Canadian Folk Music Awards and both Canadian and U.S. Independent Music Awards. Lund’s music reaches across genres allowing him to appear at varied major festivals worldwide from the main stage at Glastonbury in the UK and Virginfest in Canada to a cowboy poetry festival in Nevada.

Crossland’s songs are vivid, first-hand accounts of life in the small towns and backcountry of 21st century America. Like the people they portray, the songs are tough and honest. They also reflect the tremendous heart and soul of their colorful characters. Even where the warp and weave is of hardship or heartbreak, the songs are threaded with strings of optimism and humor.
