For most hikers it takes 4 days or more. For those who are in good shape and well motivated it might take 3 days. The Teton Crest Trail is the longest hiking trail in Wyoming, according to the National Park Service.

The Teton Crest Trail is a 40-mile (64 km) long hiking trail extends from Phillips Pass, on the border of Bridger Teton and Caribou-Targhee National Forests, to String Lake in Grand Teton National Park. Backpacker Magazine calls the trail one of the "Best Hikes Ever," with "mesmerizing and constant views of jagged peaks."

Some might wonder why it takes so long to walk 40 miles when most people can do 25 miles in a day. Simple answer is, it's mountain walking. That slows everything down. It is also so incredibly beautiful most people have no desire to rush it. Frequent stops just to say "wow" are required.

Here are 5 videos from people who hiked the trail and took cameras so we could go with them.
