The University of Wyoming Graduate Council selected Carolyn Pepper to receive the Distinguished Graduate Faculty Mentor Award.

Pepper has been at UW 10 years and her peers have described her as an impressive mentor and recognized her for helping students establish a strong publication record.

Assistant professor at the Department of Psychology Sean McCrea said “her students are consistently successful in finding internship placement and eventual employment at the most prestigious and competitive institutions.  Behind these impersonal statistics lies the heart of successful mentorship.”

Pepper began her career at UW in 2002 after working at State University of New York at Binghampton.  She has been in the Department of Psychology since 2007.
