UPDATE 6:45 a.m. Travel restrictions on Interstate 80 between Laramie and Elk Mountain have been lifted. But with winter weather forecast for much of the state today (Wednesday), travelers are being advised to check conditions before hitting the highway.

As of 5 a.m. Wednesday, Interstate 80 in Wyoming was closed to light, high profile vehicles between Laramie and Elk Mountain, according to the WYDOT website.

An ''extreme blow over risk'' warning was posted for the same stretch of Interstate 80.  As of 5 a.m., no restrictions or warnings were posted for Interstate 25 in Wyoming.

But with the National Weather Service predicting rain, snow and high winds for central and southeast Wyoming on Wednesday, anyone with travel plans in the area is being advised to check for updates before hitting the highway
