Souvenirs, refreshments, operating model trains, a LEGO train empire and it's all free to enjoy at the Historic Laramie Railroad Depot Open House this weekend! The doors will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday at First and Kearney.

If you have yet to see the "snow train" which was moved to Railroad Heritage Park, just south of the Depot, the open house is a great chance to check it out. While you're there you'll also want to enjoy the LEGO train layout, built by CoWLUG.

CoWLUG is a group of adult fans of LEGO from Colorado and Wyoming. This is their second year constructing a train empire for the Depot open house.

The railroad is the reason for the City's original existence. The depot was built in 1924 and operated until 1983. The Laramie Railroad Depot Association oversees the operation, maintenance and restoration of the Laramie Depot.
