The Laramie Plainsmen let one slip away last Friday night, as they lost in Rock Springs to the Tigers, 14-to-13.

A missed point-after-touchdown proved to be the difference in the game. Combined with two missed opportunities in the red-zone, and the Plainsmen remain winless in the 2015 season.

Laramie (0-2) fumbled at the Tigers' three-yard line on one drive and turned the ball over on downs inside the Rock Springs five-yard line on another.

Carless Looney ran for a 3-yard score early in the second quarter for a 7-0 lead. After the Tigers tied it, Taylor Dodd found Nate Burman for a 6-yard t-d pass and a 13-7 edge late in the first half. The Plainsmen missed the PAT.

On their second drive of the second half, Rock Springs took the lead for good on a Matt Fowler 2-yard touchdown run and converted the PAT for a 14-13 lead.

The fumble and an incomplete pass on fourth down inside the five-yard line followed on Laramie's next two drives.

Rock Springs (1-1) out-gained LHS 234-to-227 in total offense.

The Plainsmen return home for their next two games at Deti Stadium. Next up is the #2 Natrona County Mustangs next Friday at 7 p.m.
