A crash on Grand Avenue near the Walmart parking lot sent three people to the hospital and snarled traffic for a short time Monday afternoon.

"Both drivers and a passenger," were injured in the crash, according Lieutenant Gwen Smith of the Laramie Police Department. "No serious injuries, thank goodness," Smith added.

Smith said a silver passenger car leaving the Walmart parking lot stopped at the stop sign, did not see any traffic approaching, and proceeded to enter Grand Avenue. A pickup truck then struck the car on the driver's side.

No update on the conditions of those taken to Ivinson Memorial Hospital was available Monday afternoon. Smith said the driver of the car that was struck has been cited for failing to yield at a stop sign.

Laramie police officers diverted traffic for less than 20 minutes Monday afternoon, according to Smith.
