A house fire was safely extinguished by the Laramie Fire Department Wednesday afternoon. It is the third house fire in the last two weeks in Laramie.

On Dec 19, 2018 at approximately 3:48 p.m., firefighters from Laramie Fire Department Station #3, along with the Laramie Police Department, responded to a reported structure fire in the 500 block of south Cedar Street.

The fire was found in the rear exterior wall of a detached garage on the property. The fire was successfully extinguished and no injuries were reported. Damage was limited to the garage structure.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Laramie Fire Department.

Also responding to the scene were Black Hills Energy and Rocky Mountain Power.

The other two recent house fires in Laramie were back on Dec. 6. One left significant damage to the affected home leaving a family displaced.
