A serious crash the night of Jan. 6 sent two men to the hospital and damaged four pickups on display at Laramie GM Auto Center.

The driver, 25-year-old Joseph Lynn Hemme, was arrested and written citations for four misdemeanors, including allegedly huffing Dust-Off while driving.

There has been no word on the condition of his 25-year-old male passenger.

Lt. Gwen Smith of the Laramie Police Department says Hemme and his passenger were headed west on Grand Ave. around 8:30 p.m. in a 1995 Dodge Ram pickup.

Smith says the vehicle drifted across the eastbound lanes and went over the south curb.  The pickup struck two stop signs near ANB Bank and Doe Plumbing before colliding with four new trucks on display at Laramie GM.

Executive Manager Brad Morehouse took photos of the scene and is working with his insurance company to recoup over $160,000 in damage caused that night.
