The Harlem Ambassadors world tour makes a stop in Laramie Wednesday night to raise funds for a local daycare.

The Rotary Club of Laramie has partnered with the Harlem Ambassadors in a fun, family-friendly event. It marks the third stop in the Gem City in the past four years.

This co-ed basketball team prides itself on putting together a professional show basketball game as a fundraiser for local community projects. They'll be facing the Gem City Travelers, which is a group of 'local celebrities.'

This year's game will assist Developmental Daycare and Preschool. The money raised will be utilized for the playground area at their new facility.

Rotary Club's game organizers Drew Johnson and David Kling visited with 'Laramie Live on KOWB' host David Settle last Monday. They gave us insight into the fun night ahead, what benefits it brings and apparently how they're counting on Mr. Settle to possibly anchor the Travelers.

I personally wouldn't count on Mr. Settle being able to lift the local team past the Harlem Ambassadors.

What you can expect is plenty of entertainment with comedy, music and fun for the whole family.

Tickets are $10 for ages 13 and up. They are $5 for ages 6-to-12. Those 5 and under are free.

The game is at Laramie High School and starts at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m.
