On Wednesday April 25th, the Happy Jacks will be filling the Fine Arts Concert Hall with their extraordinary voices. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. and is open to the public. The Happy Jacks are an all-male a cappella group. Since their inception nine years ago, the Happy Jacks have caused a stir across the UW campus, state, region, and the world. Their campus concerts continually draw hundreds of audience members.

The Happy Jacks cover a wide variety of popular songs from a variety of decades. Audience favorites include Toto’s “Africa,” Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline,” and “Hollaback Girl” by Gwen Stefani. The Happy Jacks are constantly putting their own twists on modern and classic songs, so you will never know what set of songs they will choose to do. Even if you have seen them before, with different songs and different singers, each show is unique.

The Happy Jacks began from another UW ensemble, the Singing Statesmen. The Singing Statesmen is also an all-male ensemble on campus. The Happy Jacks have several concerts on the UW campus throughout the year, as well as a state wide tour. Three years ago the Happy Jacks made their first international appearance in China. The group is student led, and their advisor is Dr. Nicole Lamartine. For more information on the Happy Jacks or their tour schedule contact Dr. Lamartine at 307-766-2392
