The summer heat is still raging on, meaning that bugs are still crawling around everywhere, and most annoyingly, that mosquitoes are still quite literally out for our blood. A perfectly good camping trip up to the Snowies, a day at Lake Hattie, or even a picnic at Washington Park can easily be ruined by a swarm of mosquitoes.  As much as we try to fight it, sometimes citronella candles just aren't enough, and most people don't like the smell of DEET-based bug sprays. Luckily, there's an alternative for people who would like to keep the bugs away and smell pretty.

I was watching a late night talk show some time back, and heard an actor talking about filming a movie.. The actress said that she and some of her castmates found a man with a fishing boat full of empty Victoria's Secret perfume bottles. When asked why he had them, the fisherman told them that he used it as bug spray. So naturally, I tracked down the perfume to test it out.

It seems completely ridiculous, but the "Amber Romance" fragrance from Victoria's Secret is the most effective bug spray I've ever used. At $8 (at least in the online store), it's a little bit more expensive than the bug spray you can pick up at your local supermarket, isn't it worth it to not smell like bug spray?
