Groundbreaking

After nearly two years of planning and fundraising, a project to construct an all-abilities playground in Cheyenne is finally a reality.

The building, with a price tag of $105 million, is almost entirely funded by a legislative appropriation. The remaining $5 million came in the form of private donations.

State officials and members of the public gathered in front of the Wyoming Capitol Thursday to officially break ground on the construction phase of the Capitol Square Project.
