Red flag weather conditions -- strong winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures -- are forecast for the rest of Friday.

According to the forecast from the National Weather Service, the weather going into the weekend looks to be hot and dry which can make for conditions that are favorable for high fire danger in several regions throughout Wyoming.

More firefighters continue to arrive on a wildfire burning roughly 50 miles south of Rock Springs in both Utah and Wyoming. As of noon Thursday, 217 firefighters are battling the Richard Mountain Fire, which has grown to 7,064 acres. The park lists its current fire danger as high.

The home in the south of town was completely engulfed in flames.

A Wyoming Type 3 team assumed command of the fire Wednesday.

No cause of the wildfire has been announced, and no injuries or property damage have been reported.

All campfires must be cold to the touch before abandoning.

Additional firefighting resources have been ordered and a Type 3 incident management team will assume command of the blaze going forward.

The cause of the fire, which is burning in rocky, rugged terrain, remains under investigation.
