Are You Confident in Using the Clark Street Bridge? [PHOTOS] – Survey of the Day
Recently we had a concerned citizen write in to our "Ask the City" segment inquiring about repairs to the Clark Street Bridge. While the decaying bridge and its planned replacement have been talked about very actively in our news lately, we haven't actually ever taken a good look at the condition of the bridge.

Ask The City – How About Moving The Clark Street Bridge South?
Your Question: Have any routes further south been considered for the Clark Street Bridge replacement? Possibly south of Grand Avenue. The blue route would not seem to make sense as it would be only a couple of blocks from Curtis Street which already crosses the river and provides several access options to West Laramie.
New Viaduct through West Side Neighborhood [OPINION]

Mayor Talks Clark Street Bridge Alternatives With Laramie Citizens [POLL]
Last night Laramie's Mayor, Scott Mullner, held a public meeting to talk about the proposed alternatives that will hopefully replace the old Clark Street Bridge. Replacement of the bridge that was built back in 1963 has actually been a topic of discussion since 1997 as it nearing the end of it's life span, but so far no action has succeeded in making a new bridge a reality. However it looks like a final solution may finally be chosen this summer with the completion of an environmental assessment on the three remaining proposed alignments for a new bridge.
Clark Street Viaduct To Reopen August 20th
Without a doubt the Clark Street viaduct was in rough shape and has caused concerns for quite some time. On August 8th construction crews began repairs on the Clark Street Viaduct and had hopes of reopening the bridge by Monday August 15th. The viaduct will now reopen Saturday morning August 20th.
Clark Street Bridge Will Close Temporarily for Repairs
The Clark Street Viaduct will be temporarily shut down on Monday, Aug. 8 so the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) can make repairs to the bridge deck. The viaduct will be closed on both ends at 9:30 a.m. on Monday and is expected to be opened one week later, weather dependent.
WYDOT is advising Laramie motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists to use detours.
