Albany County Theatre

While Shel Silverstein is best known for his works created for children, he also wrote many songs, poems and one-act plays aimed at a much more mature audience. Albany County Theatre is presenting many of these works with An Adult Evening of Shel Silverstein, showing at the Gryphon Theatre Thursday, June 14 through Saturday, June 16 at 7:30 p.m. nightly.

Two years after performing An Adult Evening of Shel Silverstein, the Albany County Theatre is bringing the popular production back to Laramie. In the Spring of 2010, the play had to move from venue to venue, but Director Bliss Ragsdale says the renovation of the Gryphon Theatre gives them a chance to enter back into the darkly comic world of Silverstein with a better production.

The Albany County Theatre presents a family friendly holiday production filled with polka music, live radio comedy and good times for everyone Christmas Thieves: A Small Town Radio Play. Featuring Jay Shogren and the Flygapoijkerna Family Fun Time Orkestra, this evening of theatre is guaranteed to get you in the holiday spirit.

The Albany County Theater has several shows coming up soon, the first being Barrymore's Ghost. The show kicks off on November 3rd at 7:30 PM and plays nightly through November 5th at the same time. You can purchase tickets for the show online or at the Albany County Theater Box Office in the Civic Center; tickets are $12 a piece and there is a $2 discount for students, seniors, and the military. The Albany County Theatre will perform John Carianni’s Almost, Maine, directed by Bliss B. Ragsdale, at the Laramie Plains Civic Center Theatre in Laramie, WY. The show dates are March 31st, April 1st, 2nd, 7th, 8th and 9th. Curtain is at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 for the general public and $10 for students, seniors and active military. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at the LPC
