The 2015 Sundance Film Festival is sending its best short films to Laramie for one night only.

The Sundance Film Festival Shorts on Tour will play Saturday at 8 p.m. in the Gryphon Theatre, located in the Laramie Plains Civic Center at 710 E. Garfield St. Tickets are $10, and the doors open at 7 p.m.

There will be a bar at the event, and proceeds from the bar and ticket sales will be reinvested back into the Gryphon Theatre.

It's a unique event for Laramie, but you may want to think twice about bringing the kids.

"The Sundance Film Festival often deals with adult themes," says Theatre Manager David Soules. "Parental discretion is advised."

That doesn't mean adults can't have a good time.

"There's nothing else like it in town," says Soules, who has worked for the past several years to reinvigorate the Gryphon Theatre and make it a focal point of the community.

"Bring eight hundred of your closest friends," says Soules. "It's always been a goal to bring the building back as a meeting place in Laramie.
