A local charity is in need of a new location for one of its programs. Suited for Success is a program through the Zonta Club of Laramie that has been helping women prepare a professional wardrobe since the 90's.

"Our main clientele are single mothers who are in the process of advancing their own status in order to better provide for their families," said President Angela Ver Ploeg. "Members of the community can donate their gently used professional clothing to this program in order to provide these women a look that they would otherwise be unable to purchase themselves."

Now they are is desperate need of a space to house the clothing for the program. Ver Ploeg says that a few months ago, they were informed that the space they were in had been rented out.

"We are in a temporary location, however we've not really settled in as we know that we need to move soon," said Ver Ploeg. "Because of this, we have been unable to take in donations for additional clothing."

They have set up an account at NU2U for those who want to get rid of their clothes during spring cleaning and support Suited for Success, but for now the program is on a bit of a temporary hiatus until they can find a long-term solution.

A space of about 500 square feet is needed according to Ver Ploeg so they can house the clothing and host clients to try on clothing. The space would also preferably be donated or available for minimal cost as the Zonta Club operates as a non-profit. If anyone has information on a space that may be available, Ver Ploeg asks that they send an email to LaramieZonta@gmail.com.

The Zonta Club of Laramie is a local chapter of the international organization, Zonta International, which is an organization for professionals whose mission is to advance the status of women and children worldwide. On a local level, they raise money that provides direct support to the community and their mission through organizations such as CLIMB Wyoming, SAFE Project and the Downtown Clinic.
