Senior Nastya Tokareva and sophomore Magdalena Stencel earned All-Mountain West accolades on the tennis court Wednesday.

Head coach Dean Clower said in a release from UW,

“Maggie is one of if not the toughest competitors we have had in this program. Another All-Conference accolade is well-deserved for her and I expect more in the future. Nastya has been extremely influential to our program and a pillar at the two and three spots in our lineup. Her coach ability and athleticism is the biggest reason her doubles play has reached the level it’s at.”

Stencel receives her second straight honor in singles action. She played at the number one position and posted a 21-12 overall record. That included 4-1 in the MW.

Tokareva is honored for the first time in her career. She went 21-13 at number two singles and also 4-1 in the conference.

The duo was selected All-Conference doubles for the first time in her career. They were 12-9 in the spring and 4-1 in the MW. It's the first doubles honor for both players.

This marks the eighth straight year the Cowgirls have had a singles player or doubles team receive all-league recognition.
