Soroptimist International of Laramie is hosting the 6th Annual Laramie Laughs for a Cause on Saturday, February 11th at The Hilton Garden Inn/UW Conference Center. It's so much fun, you won't even know you're at a fundraiser.

The theme is centered around Valentine's Day, promoting the concept of loving your community by supporting the event. It's also something nice you can do for yourself and a partner to celebrate Valentine's Day.

The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. with cocktails and then the performance at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 in advance and $45 at the door and include hors d'ouervres, the show and chocolate strawberries. They are available for purchase on the Soroptimist of Laramie website, from any Soroptomist member, or at First National Bank, First Interstate Bank (downtown and UW), Cool Cuts, Security First Bank, Allstate, and Lebeda Financial Strategies.

Comedian Phil Palisoul will be making his second appearance at Laramie Laughs. The opening act will be Stephanie McHugh, who was a finalist on the "Funniest Moms Contest" on Nick at Nite. Both will be around for a meet and greet during the hors d'oeurves before the show. Check out a video of some of Phil Palisoul's comedy below.

Soroptimist is an international organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world. The funds raised will go towards a number of projects, some of which are annual club sponsored, and others change year-to-year based on need. Last year contributions went to Project Graduation, the local chapter of CLIMB Wyoming, Wyoming Women's Foundation for a Leadership Workshop, the Christmas Basket Program, Hospice of Laramie, money for Laramie High School student college applications, the Albany County BackPack Project and more.
