Jason Senteney, a Republican candidate for Wyoming's seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, says the federal government has a spending problem -- particularly when it comes to defense spending.

Senteney highlights payments to defense contractors as one area where the government could be getting more bang for its buck.

He also says U.S. foreign policy could be refocused to provide a more concise mission for the armed services, thereby saving taxpayer dollars and American lives.

Senteney, a former marine and a correctional officer in Torrington, is vying for the seat soon to be vacated by Rep. Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyoming).
