Original Story:

A student attending Laramie High School was involved in what school officials have dubbed a "tragic incident" that occurred off-campus Friday morning.

Few details were immediately available. Below is a statement from Randy Wilkison, director of operations for the Albany County School District:

We have had a tragic incident this morning that happened off campus to a student that attends LHS. The Crisis Response Team for Albany County School District at LHS has been activated, and students and staff have support available on site as required. School is still in session as normal.  At this time, our care and concern are with the family.

Wilkison was not immediately available to respond to a request for comment. Laramie Live will continue to follow this developing story and provide more details as we receive them.
