Researcher To Discuss Yellowstone Activity
The University of Wyoming-National Park Service Research Center will hold discussions on new discoveries involving the Yellowstone volcanic system and possible earthquake hazards.
Geologic Hazards Researcher Robert Smith will speak at 6:30 Thursday, July 25th at the AMK Ranch. A barbecue at $5 per person will begin at 5:30. You must make a reservation if you’d like to attend by calling 307-543-2463.
Smith said “The biggest threat in Yellowstone is not from volcanic eruptions, but from large earthquakes. Yellowstone is living, breathing, shaking, and baking.”
