Reindeer Sightings Possible Sunday in Laramie [CANCELLED]

[UPDATE 12/14/11] Well this is pretty unfortunate, but if you were planning on bringing the family out to Murdochs on Sunday to see the live reindeer, the event has been officially cancelled. It seems that late Tuesday evening the store was contacted by the Wyoming Game & Fish Department who informed them that it is illegal to bring live reindeer into the state of Wyoming without a permit. Following this news the store was obviously forced to cancel the event that they had planned this Sunday in Laramie. Comments from the Game & Fish Department explained that permits usually take some time to obtain as they have to make sure animals are handled properly in situations like this because of problems with diseases, especially in southeast Wyoming. Murdoch's also had plans for the reindeer to appear at their Cheyenne store prior to this announcement.  

Our headline says reindeer sightings possible in Laramie on Sunday, but in all reality there will be Reindeer in town this Sunday. Our local Laramie Murdochs Ranch and Home Store will be bringing in some live reindeer that they are welcoming the public to come out and take a look at from 12PM to 3PM. This ought to give the kids quite a bit of excitement leading up to Christmas as we are now down to just a few weeks away from the big day! I'm not sure where time has gone this year, but the time in between Thanksgiving and Christmas always seems to fly by quicker every year.

Murdoch's does want to remind everyone to bring their camera to grab pictures with the reindeer. If you don't have a nice camera we were told by the store manager that they would have one on hand that they would be taking pictures with as well. Help get the whole family in the Christmas spirit and head out to see some of Santa's helpers this weekend!
