Put Your Kids in the Children’s Parade at Freedom Has A Birthday

Most people know that Freedom Has A Birthday is the kickoff of Laramie Jubilee Days. But did you know that a children's parade is the official start of Freedom Has A Birthday?

The parade starts at 9:30 AM at the Fox Theater parking lot, goes west on Rainbow to 18th Street, then south on 18th to the band shell where participants can stay and participate in the opening ceremonies. All children are invited to participate and there is no registration required.

Participants simply need to dress in a patriotic theme and meet in the Fox Theater parking lot at 9:15 AM. Laura Tangeman, one of the coordinators for Freedom Has A Birthday, says bikes, trikes, strollers, wagons and pets are encouraged, just be sure to decorate them in red, white and blue as well.
